Solutions and technologies for the Italian offshore wind energy sector
ReNEXT Solutions is an EPCIMD contractor for the construction and maintenance of large floating offshore wind farms for renewable energy production off the Italian coast and in the Mediterranean basin.

The know how of a diversified group
ReNEXT Solutions' experience as part of the Toto Group goes back a long way:
Over 40 years of experience in heavy prefabrication: with the invention of the ‘variable module’, Toto Costruzioni Generali revolutionized the sector in Italy.
General Contractor and EPC Contractor for the largest motorway and railway projects and in the last decades for major RES installations in Italy.
First mover in offshore wind energy on the Atlantic Coast of the USA, where it operates two of the largest offshore wind projects in the country and the development of a dedicated components hub.
In Taranto, with Beleolico, Renexia has created the Mediterranean’s first offshore wind farm, building a development model based on listening to and involving stakeholders.
ReNEXT Solutions: aggregator of international expertise for the construction of an increasingly Italian value chain.
Through the Med Wind project, ReNEXT Solutions will bring together the most valuable players in a partnership that will aim to make value creation increasingly Italian in know-how and logistics, production and servicing leadership.

The large potential of offshore wind power in Italy.
The PNIEC (Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan) for Italy sets very ambitious targets for the development of renewable energies (55% of national electricity consumption in 2030), with the largest contribution for the period 2019-2030 coming from the growth of the photovoltaic and wind power sectors. These targets will not be achieved by relying solely on the development of onshore plants.
Size of the Exclusive Economic Zone of Italy
The expected increment of energy production from renewable sources in the period 2021-2027 on a global scale
The expected worldwide electricity production from renewable sources
With the start of the Beleolico, Renexia has set the first milestone in Italy for the development of this strategic energy sector
Why floating?The advantages of floating wind power
Installations may be located far from the coast, on very deep waters (>60 m), where winds are more intense and regular;
It doesn’t involve significant seabed infiltration, but an anchoring system that doesn’t impact the marine ecosystem and does not produce noise emissions during installation;
It doesn’t require large and expensive jack-up vessels for the installation, but the turbine + floater system is assembled below the coast and then towed to the anchorage site by ordinary tugs, even for hundreds of nautical miles;
Located at a great distance from the coastline, the facilities don’t generate perceptible landscape and acoustic impacts on land, don’t interfere with tourist and commercial activities, and can be designed as not to interfere with the migratory routes of birdlife;
The impact on the fisheries sector, limited in any case, can be balanced through compensation agreements and activation of synergies to support the sector.
